This song is an original about a girl who’s been single a long time after a nasty divorce where
she lost everything. It’s about a girl who has to work three jobs to support herself and her
daughter without any help in a very expensive world. She just wants to feel love again but
doesn’t know how to go there with her heart, so this is just a basic belt out of take me home and
make me feel good. The funny part of how this song developed, was a gig that I had at
Chief’s Tavern in Madison, WI. I was working so much, I didn’t have time to change out of
my chef gear and had to come to the gig covered in food. This led her guitarist, Bill Roberts, to
exclaim, “Someone should take you home and bake you!” Thus a song was born!
